At SDUSD, I transformed the Peer Mediation program’s visibility through a strategic marketing campaign. Initially tasked with designing a single poster, I expanded the initiative by creating 28 customized classroom posters and year-round themed designs. My efforts not only elevated program awareness but also led to my leadership role overseeing Student Services. Under my direction, the program’s branding and outreach expanded nationwide, with schools across the country now utilizing my designs and engagement strategies. Through SEO-driven digital content, social media campaigns, and targeted events, I successfully increased student participation and positioned Peer Mediation as a widely recognized conflict resolution resource.

As the team lead for the rebranding campaign, I spearheaded efforts to increase awareness of the Peer Mediation program. Marketing Strategies Utilized:

1. SEO Tools:

To improve the program’s online presence, I led the team in implementing SEO tools to optimize digital content. By conducting keyword research and integrating relevant terms, we ensured that the program appeared prominently in search engine results, making it easier for students, parents, and educators to find and engage with the program.

2. Social Media Engagement:

Recognizing the importance of reaching the Gen Z audience, I spearheaded a targeted social media strategy. We crafted engaging content, including success stories and testimonials, and utilized platforms like Instagram and TikTok to connect directly with students. Interactive elements such as polls and live Q&A sessions fostered a sense of community and increased participation.

3. Events and Campaigns:

I organized and promoted events like workshops and awareness days, both in-person and virtually, to directly engage students with the Peer Mediation program. These events provided hands-on learning opportunities and reinforced the program’s core values. Our improved outreach strategy, including optimized timing and promotion, ensured maximum student participation.

4. Programmatic Allocation:

By tailoring the program to Gen Z’s digital habits, I made sure the program was accessible and engaging. This included integrating multimedia content and providing flexible scheduling for events. The redesigned program has been adopted by schools nationwide, thanks to its adaptability and relevance to students’ preferences.

SUMMARY:

As a result of my leadership in rebranding and redesigning the Peer Mediation program, it has expanded its reach nationwide. Schools across the country now utilize the designs and outreach strategies I developed, significantly increasing program visibility and student engagement. By implementing SEO strategies, targeted social media campaigns, and effective event planning, I successfully extended the program’s influence, creating a lasting impact on student communities nationwide.
